Natsuko Nomura

Educational Background

I did my undergraduate at University of California, Davis and was a research associate at University of California, San Diego Moores Cancer Center. Then a lab manager at Saint John’s Cancer Institute (formerly known as John Wayne Cancer Institute.)

Research Focus

Natsuko is playing a pivotal role in the application of high-throughput and multi-scale methodologies to systematically investigate the functional consequences of over 100 gene knockouts relevant to neuropsychiatric disorders. This comprehensive approach utilizes human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) in both 2D and 3D neuronal models, enabling a thorough characterization of the genetic factors influencing neuropsychiatric conditions.
