Educational Background

I did my undergraduate at Johns Hopkins University and was a research associate at The Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT for 2 years before pursuing an MD-PhD at UCLA

Research Focus

Jacqui is an MD PhD who is working on high throughput biological approaches to understand neuropsychiatric disorders and develop more effective therapies. Her PhD project aims to address the considerable obstacles faced in uncovering the functions of hundreds of genes relevant to neuropsychiatric disease (NPD) through stem cell engineering and the use of various high-throughput and multi-scale methodologies which will aid in the characterization of the functional consequences of NPD gene knockouts across various systems (hESC/hiPSC, 2D and 3D neuronal cultures).
