Research Focus
Marisa is a senior scientist whose research centers around the use of genomic and bioinformatic approaches to investigate the genetic contributors to neurologic diseases associated with dementia, in particular frontotemporal dementia. Marisa oversees human genetic analysis for multiple collaborative efforts in neurodegenerative dementia, including the multi-site ARTFL-LEFFTDS Longitudinal Frontotemporal Lobar Degeneration (ALLFTD) research consortium, as well as several studies with the Memory and Aging Center at UCSF.
